Salvador/Bahia

Salvador Bahia was founded in a north London pub in 2007 by Producers Geir Luedy and Dominic Owen. Both were down to their third pint of lager after watching the Alexandria Quartet perform their set.
After the show they started talking about music and agreed to do a writing session together. Since it was the weekend, they decided not to do the music they used to do, but rather to relax with a few beers and have some fun mixing up the electronica/beats Dominic was into with the Brazilian/Latin flavored music Geir love's and was born into. Geir who now lives in Bergen, Norway spent his summers in Brazil in a town called Salvador, the birthplace of brazilian music, and the oldest town in brazil and where his mother was born and raised.
After the studio session they both decided to turn what idea's they had into a new project. Dominic started working the beats and riffs and Geir took the first set of ideas back to Bergen and played it to MOI who's vocals fitted the music like a glove and HP who joined in on the songwriting.
After several trips between Dominic's studio in London and Geir's studio in Bergen they decided to go to Salvador and continue the project in Brazil. Staying right in the center of town in the famous pelorino district they set up a mini studio and went looking for players. Several incredible guitar and percussionists were tracked down during the stay, with hours of recordings tracked into thier laptops. While they were there they had the pleasure of recording, drinking, hanging out and performing with a Bahian legend Geronimo Santana. The first E.P. is due before summer, followed by several live performances to be confirmed.
